RELAX! ... enjoy you time at Kittiwake Cottage
Some reminders and general information:
Trash pickup is early Monday morning, usually about 7:15 a.m.
The house and grounds are not child-proofed. There are no safety locks on cabinets. There is a drop off at the bulkhead. There are native prickly pear cacti and blackberry vines in the yard. Please supervise your children accordingly.
Please be mindful that, at times, the rain and wind blows hard around the bay: it’s a good idea to close the windows if going out for any length of time.
Please don not use any cleaning solutions on any windows/door facing the bay. Also do not use water or cleaning solutions on the flooring in the TV and sunset rooms. Wipe up any spills immediately.
Charcoal BBQ is located in the shed.
Sofa bed in the Bay Room (closest to the bay):
• Move two small tables out of the way
• Remove covers
• There are two tabs on the front of the sofa, pull slowly out and up and your bed should be in place!
Please bear in mind that you are in a residential community and many of your neighbors are year round people who often rise early for work. Abstain from loud and unnecessary noise in the late evening, especially outside. Also, please respect their property when parking your car and refrain from blocking their driveways.
When you leave please double check that all the windows are closed and locked, blinds are closed, lights off and the French doors are shut. Leave the extra keys in the basket and return the house keys to Apex or make sure lock box keys are put back and box reads 0000, Bundle garbage and leave in the outside trash cans.
** Be sure to sign the guest book! **

And keep an eye on the birds ... not only the noisy gulls, you’ll often see the osprey overhead with its dinner in hand (or claws), egret, and herons. Lately several bald eagles have been seen standing on the beach not more than 100 yards from Kittiwake Cottage. Feel free to write down any observations in the bird journal.
